What You Will Learn:
Dr. Ruter will lead a tour on the tradeshow floor to visit with companies that have developed new and exciting plants for the nursery and landscape industries. The tour will conclude with a discussion of the latest and greatest plants being developed by breeders at the University of Georgia.
More About the Presenter (s):
Dr. Ruter is the Allan Armitage Endowed Professor of Horticulture and Director of the Trial Gardens at UGA. In the past decade Dr. Ruter has licensed over 40 plants from his breeding program at UGA. Some of his successful releases have led to the Head Over Heels series of hardy hibiscus, the Aim High and Emerald series of hollies, and several conifers which perform well from the Gulf Coast to Minnesota. Dr. Ruter has published over 550 popular and scientific articles, as well as the very popular book "Landscaping with Conifers and Ginkgo for the Southeast"
