What You Will Learn:
Latest research on diagnosis and management of main foliar, crown and root turfgrass diseases will be discussed. Environmental and cultural factors that promote each disease as well as the implementation of sound sustainable IPM strategies for disease management will be examined. Emerging diseases, new fungicides and latest research in turfgrass disease control will be emphasized.
More About the Presenter (s):
Alfredo Martinez is a Professor within the Department of Plant Pathology, University of Georgia, Griffin Campus. He is an Extension Specialist working on the development and transfer of information for the identification and management of turfgrass, grass forages and small grains diseases. Alfredo holds a PhD. from the Department of Plant Pathology in Montana State University (Bozeman MT). He is with UGA since 1999.
