What You Will Learn:
There is no substitute for the accuracy of sending a sample to the lab, but sometimes there is no time to wait. Management decisions must be made. This presentation will help you learn some basic principles of plant diagnostics on how to identify problems on the fly. We will discuss a systematic approach to diagnosing plant problems and the latest tools you can keep in your toolbox.
More About the Presenter (s):
Dr. Jeremy Pickens is an Assistant Extension Professor of Horticulture at Auburn University. He has statewide responsibility for the commercial horticulture industry at the Ornamental Horticulture Research Center. Extension programming is the major driver behind many of his research projects. While his primary responsibilities revolve around ornamental production, he also works with a variety of specialty crops including Christmas trees and greenhouse vegetables.
