What You Will Learn:

Excessive water in the landscape poses a challenge across a variety of environments, where issues arise from vast volumes of runoff water, poor drainage, and contaminant movement. Addressing these challenges requires a robust approach, incorporating planning considerations, green infrastructure features, plant selection, and continuing maintenance of a site. This session will focus on practical tips and considerations that landscape contractors can use to develop landscapes that are resilient to the pressures of too much water on-site. Features that will be discussed include rain gardens, bioretention cells, French drains, and plant materials that can limit the challenges caused by excessive water.
